She began her interest in personal development as a psychotherapist and received her formal education from The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, California with an emphasis on trauma resolution, family and group systems, mindfulness, and expressive arts. Her coaching is also influenced by decades of business experience in the tree services and natural foods industries, as well as in human services agencies, in her hometown of Charlottesville, Virginia. He has obtained assessment and coaching certifications with the Center for Creative Leadership and Development Dimensions International, and has held SPHR and GPRH certifications from the Society for Human Resource Management. With her practical, down-to-earth style she shares her first-hand experience on transforming a siloed department of one into a strategic and valued partner with her company’s leadership.

Before joining KeenAlignment as a strategic HR consultant, Lauren worked for over 20 years as a Human Resources Manager and Chief of Administrative Operations in the public sector. After a career scaling, systematizing and stratifying HR departments and developing HR generalists, Lauren now advises, teaches and coaches them on how to shift their departments and themselves to move from survival to excellence.
